Egypt Planners
Topical authority build across planning-stage queries — the searches travellers run months before they book anything.
Work / My Way to Egypt
My Way to Egypt builds custom trips, not packages off a shelf. But the site opened like every other operator's — and a traveller who wants something made for them can't tell a bespoke planner from a package seller in the two seconds they give the first screen. We fixed the positioning, then built the enquiry flow around the kind of trip that's actually worth planning.
The challenge
The value of a tailor-made operator is that the trip is built around you. But that promise is worthless if it isn't obvious in the first screen — because the traveller who wants it is deciding, fast, whether this is a place that makes something for them or a place that sells the same package to everyone.
The old site buried the tailor-made positioning below generic hero copy and a form that asked for a name and an email like any other. It collected enquiries — but it collected the wrong kind: thin, low-intent, expensive to qualify.
The brief was: how do we make a high-value traveller feel, immediately, that this trip will be built for them — and how do we make the enquiry itself do the qualifying?
The approach
The build
Strategy, design, build and content came from the same team — which mattered because positioning and the enquiry flow are the same decision, not two. The words in the first screen and the questions in the form have to promise and deliver the same thing, and that only holds when one team writes both.
The positioning was settled before the layout: tailor-made stated plainly in the first screen, then everything downstream — the enquiry flow, the page structure, the search targeting — built to reinforce it rather than dilute it back toward generic package selling.
The mechanism is a filter, not a funnel. A bespoke operator doesn't need more enquiries; it needs the right ones. The site is designed so the traveller who wants something made for them feels it immediately, and the traveller who just wants the cheapest package quietly self-selects out.
