Be the answer the AI gives.

Gartner expects traditional search volume to fall 25% by 2026 as travellers ask assistants instead of search engines. Assistants return a shortlist of two or three operators. Almost nobody in this market is optimising to be on it.

GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) makes your brand legible and quotable to AI assistants. For a travel operator that means a connected entity and schema graph, answer-first content structured the way models lift it, server-rendered HTML, open access for AI crawlers, and third-party corroboration — then tracking whether you actually get cited.

The problem

Why this usually isn't working

A traveller planning Egypt used to open Google and scroll ten results. Increasingly they open ChatGPT and ask who they should book a Nile cruise with. The model returns two or three names and a reason for each.

If your site renders its content only after JavaScript runs, or blocks GPTBot in robots.txt, or has no structured data connecting your company to what it sells, you are invisible to that conversation. Not ranked low — absent entirely.

The window here is unusually open. In Egyptian travel we've found almost no operators doing this deliberately, which means the cost of being early is low and the advantage lasts longer than it will in most markets.

You're not ranking badly in AI answers. You're absent from them.

What's included

Six things you actually get

01 Entity & schema graphA connected @graph — Organization, Service, CreativeWork, Person — with proper @id linking, so models know what your company is rather than guessing from prose.
02 Answer-first contentDirect 40–60 word answer capsules under question-shaped headings. This is the format models actually lift and attribute.
03 AI crawler accessrobots.txt and llms.txt configured for GPTBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and ClaudeBot — then verified, because a misconfigured rule undoes everything else.
04 Server-rendered HTMLIf content appears only after JavaScript executes, AI crawlers never see it. We fix this at the build level, not with a workaround.
05 Third-party corroborationDirectories, mentions and PR. Models weight what others say about you as heavily as what you say about yourself.
06 Citation trackingMonthly checks on whether your brand appears in ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews for the queries that matter to your bookings.

How we run it

Four stages, every engagement.

Visibility baselineWe run your money queries through the major assistants and record who gets cited today. Usually it's an OTA.
Technical accessCrawler permissions, rendering and llms.txt fixed so the machines can actually read you.
Entity & contentSchema graph built, key pages rewritten answer-first, corroboration sources identified.
Track & iterateMonthly citation checks. Indexation lag is real — Perplexity moves in weeks, ChatGPT in a month or two.

Who this is for

Built for these situations.

Operators losing clicksTraffic flat or falling while impressions hold — a classic AI-answer symptom.
Brands with good contentYou already earned the authority. This makes it machine-readable.
New launchesCheaper to build the entity graph correctly than to retrofit it later.
Anyone with a JS siteReact or Vue sites are the most common invisible-to-AI failure we find.

Questions

Before you ask.

Is GEO different from SEO?

It overlaps but it isn't the same. SEO optimises for a ranked list of links. GEO optimises for being quoted inside a generated answer — which rewards structure, entity clarity and corroboration far more than keyword placement.

How do you prove it's working?

We check your money queries across ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews monthly and record whether your brand and domain appear. It's a citation count, not a ranking position.

How long until we get cited?

Perplexity indexes fastest — often one to two weeks. ChatGPT typically lags four to eight weeks. AI Overviews follow your organic authority, so they move on SEO timescales.

Should we block AI crawlers to protect our content?

For a travel operator, almost certainly not. Blocking them removes you from the answers travellers now use to choose an operator. The content you'd be protecting is a tour description, not proprietary IP.

Does this replace normal SEO?

No. Organic authority still feeds AI Overviews and still drives the traffic. GEO is an additional surface, not a substitute — and the technical work overlaps heavily.
