Nile River Trips
Cruise inventory made searchable: itinerary length, boat category and departure port as real landing pages instead of a downloadable PDF.
Work / Egypt Day Trips
Egypt Day Trips had the product and the licences. What it didn't have was a site that made booking direct easier than booking through an OTA listing. We rebuilt it from concept to launch, in-house.
The challenge
Most travel sites in Egypt are brochures. They describe the tours in detail, then hand the actual booking to an OTA that takes a quarter of the price off the top and keeps the customer.
Egypt Day Trips had everything an international traveller looks for before they commit: a Ministry of Tourism licence, IATA membership, certified Egyptologist guides, and years of operating history. None of it was visible where it mattered — and the site asked every visitor to take the same single action regardless of how ready they were to buy.
The brief wasn't "make it prettier". It was: what makes an international traveller book direct instead of through an OTA? Everything else followed from answering that honestly.
The approach
The build
Strategy, design, build and content came from the same team. That matters more than it sounds: the reason redesigns so often lose rankings is that the agency doing the design and the agency doing the SEO never spoke.
Built on custom WordPress with dedicated tour post types rather than a page builder — so every tour page carries proper structured data, clean URLs and a consistent booking path without anyone rebuilding it by hand. Performance was treated as a build requirement, not a phase at the end.
The result is a site where the direct booking is simply the easier one. That's the whole mechanism. A site doesn't beat an OTA listing by looking better than it. It beats it by removing more friction than the listing does.
