Egypt Day Trips
Rebuilt as a booking engine rather than a brochure: licences above the fold, two paths off the hero, multi-currency pricing and destination-first architecture.
Work / Cleopatra Egypt Tours
Cleopatra Egypt Tours had a classical Egypt brand and a real product. What it didn't have was a site that loaded fast on a phone in London and showed a price the traveller could actually judge. We rebuilt it mobile-first, in-house.
The challenge
Most international travellers first meet an Egypt tour brand on a phone, on a mobile network, halfway through planning. If the site takes a beat too long to load, they're already back on the OTA listing that opened instantly.
Cleopatra Egypt Tours had the operating history and the reviews to win that traveller. But the old site was built for a desktop that fewer and fewer visitors were using, and it quoted prices in a way that asked a traveller in London or Sydney to do currency maths mid-decision.
The brief was narrow and honest: make the site load fast on a phone, and show a price the traveller can judge without leaving. Everything else in the rebuild followed from those two.
The approach
The build
Strategy, design, build and content came from the same team. That matters more than it sounds: the reason redesigns so often lose rankings is that the agency doing the design and the agency doing the SEO never spoke.
Built on custom WordPress rather than a page builder, so every page carries clean markup, a consistent booking path and a performance profile that holds up on a phone. Speed was treated as a build requirement, not a phase bolted on at the end.
The result is a site where the direct booking is simply the easier one — fast to load, clear on price, and honest about who's behind it. That's the whole mechanism. A site doesn't beat an OTA listing by looking better than it. It beats it by removing more friction than the listing does.
