SEO for hotels that outranks your own listings.

Your property already ranks. On Booking.com, on Expedia, on three aggregators you have never heard of — each one charging you commission for a guest who searched your name. Search work for a hotel is mostly the job of getting above your own distribution.

SEO for hotels in Egypt means competing with listings of your own property. It combines Google Business Profile, room and offer pages that can outrank an OTA listing for your own name, Hotel and Room structured data so rates show in the result, booking-path conversion so the ranking finishes in a booking, and review velocity — because for an independent property, recency beats a higher score that stopped.

The problem

You are competing against yourself

Search your property name. Count what sits above your website: the Booking.com listing, the Expedia listing, the metasearch aggregator, an OTA paid ad on your own brand. Every one of them is your property, and every one of them costs you commission.

That is the difference between hotel search work and everything else. A tour operator competes with other operators. A hotel competes with distributors of itself, all carrying more domain authority than it will ever have, all ranking on the strength of a brand the hotel built.

The work is not to beat them everywhere. It is to take back the searches where the guest had already chosen you, and to be findable for the ones where they have not.

What the work is

Six things, in the order they pay back.

01 Outrank your own listingsYour property on Booking.com, Expedia and Trivago carries more domain authority than you do. We build the room, offer and location pages that can sit above them for your own name and category.
02 Google Business ProfileCompleted, photographed, reviewed and pointed at your own booking path rather than a platform listing. The fastest-moving asset most independents own and the most commonly left half-finished.
03 Booking-path conversionRanking a page that ends in an enquiry form wastes the ranking. Live availability, a rate on the room page and a checkout that finishes on a phone.
04 Review velocityPast a point, a steady flow of recent reviews outranks a higher score that stopped two years ago. We build the request into the stay rather than leaving it to chance.
05 Structured dataHotel, Room and Offer schema so rates, availability and ratings can appear in the result itself rather than as a plain blue link.
06 Source-market pagesA German guest and a Gulf guest search differently, in different languages, at different times of year. One site, properly separated with hreflang, not four thin translations.

Honestly

What we do not do

We do not run revenue management, and we do not manage metasearch bidding on Google Hotel Ads or Trivago. Those are distinct disciplines with their own specialists, and a search agency claiming both is usually doing neither well.

What we do is the organic and conversion side: being found, being trusted, and the booking finishing on your own domain. If metasearch is what your property actually needs, we will say so in the audit rather than sell you search work instead.

Questions

About hotel search work.

How is SEO for hotels different from SEO for a tour operator?

A hotel competes against listings of itself. The same property appears on Booking.com, Expedia, Trivago and a dozen aggregators, all with more authority than the hotel’s own site — so the work is less about ranking a new page and more about outranking your own distribution.

How long before a hotel sees results from SEO?

Local visibility and brand defence move within weeks because the demand already exists. Non-branded rankings for a destination or a category take six to twelve months in Egyptian inbound travel, and anyone promising otherwise is describing a different market.

Do you work with small properties, or only chains?

Mostly independents and small groups — camps, boutique properties, dahabiyas and Red Sea guesthouses. A chain usually has a distribution team; an independent usually has an owner doing it between other jobs, and that is where this work pays back hardest.

Is Google Business Profile part of this?

Yes, and for most independent properties it is the first thing we fix. It is the highest-return neglected asset a hotel has, and its booking link points at a platform listing more often than at the hotel’s own site.
